Laon Kim is a digital illustrator based in Seoul, Korea. They are known for their dreamy/surreal aesthetic as well as their signature loop heart. Their website describes themselves as an "illustrator drawing the scene that someone once dreamed of." Laon graduated from Hongik University in Korea with a BFA in Visual Communication Design.
I got introduced to Laon through their work with K-pop group SEVENTEEN, and have followed their art since. I love the contemporary surrealist quality to their work, and their use of digital elements to enhance color and texture.
